Truly Judy’s Uncommon Oldie\u00a0Of the Week takes us to WHB 710 AM Radio Seventy-ONEderful’s 40 Star Super Hit Survey in Kansas City, Missouri, to March 18, 1966.<\/p>\n

My survey group was a local group from Kansas City, Missouri.\u00a0 They were formed in 1959 as the Midknighters but used the names The Fabulous Four Jacks, The Fabulous Four, The Fab Four (even before the Beatles got that nickname) and even recorded a song as The Next Exit on the Warner Brothers label for the Tokens to be used in the movie Butterflies Are Free.\u00a0 Later, they would record as a group called Pretty, on the Squeakly label.\u00a0 They even recorded a song for the Trump label using the name Kansas City, but they continued to perform as The Fab Four for their live shows.<\/p>\n

This survey song happens to be a song from my favorites folder.\u00a0 I just love it and was so happy to find it on a survey when I was doing my research.\u00a0 This group also holds the distinction of having another one of their songs in my favorites folder as by The Fab Four called I\u2019m Always Doing Something Wrong.\u00a0 But, here is the same group recording as the Fabulous Four with Got To Get Her Back, on the Coral label,, on the WHB 710 AM 40 Star Super Hit Survey from Kansas City, Missouri,\u00a0at #22 on March 18, 1966.<\/p>\n
