Truly Judy’s Uncommon Oldie Of the Week takes us to WKNR, Keener 13 at 1310 AM on your dial, in Detroit\/Dearborn, Michigan to May 14th<\/sup>, 1964.<\/p>\n

My survey artist, Eddie Holland, was also born in Detroit, Michigan.\u00a0 He had several songs on the charts between 1962 and 1972.\u00a0 He was also part of one of the most successful songwriting teams of all time.<\/p>\n

According to my research, Eddie started working behind the scenes because he had stage fright.\u00a0 His first hit in 1962, Jamie, is one of my favorite songs of all time, and I have the 45.\u00a0 As a member of Holland, Dozier, Holland, the songwriting and production team was responsible for much of the Motown sound and hit records by Martha & the Vandellas, the Supremes, the Four Tops, The Isley Brothers and others.\u00a0 Eddie Holland was the team\u2019s lyricist, and the trio was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1990.<\/p>\n
