Victorians - What Makes Little Girls Cry

This week, Truly Judy’s Uncommon Oldies takes us to WQAM in Miami, Florida, to the Fabulous 56 Survey, the week ending August 3rd, 1963.

The lead singer of this song, Gloria Jones, was also with the Blossoms. She also recorded as Vik E. Lee and Gloria Melbourne. Also involved in the sessions of this group were Jack Nitzsche, Perry Botkin, The Blossoms, David Gates and Bobby Day.

I wish we had gotten this song on our charts here in Southern California.  It’s a great one. Written by Lou Josie and coming in at #48 on the WQAM, Miami, Florida Fabulous 56 Survey, here are The Victorians with What Makes Little Girls Cry, from August 3rd, 1963, on the Liberty label.
