Nashville Teens

Truly Judy’s Uncommon Oldies Of the Week takes us to WKDA 1240 AM’s Good Guys Survey in Nashville, Tennessee, to early March, 1965.

My artists of the week, The Nashville Teens, were from South London even though their name sounded as if they were from the United States. While they were living and performing in Hamburg, like so many of the British artists of that time did, they backed Jerry Lee Lewis on his “Live At The Star Club” record which was considered one of the greatest live rock and roll albums ever made. They also backed Chuck Berry and Carl Perkins on European tours.

Coming in at #35 on the WKDA Good Guys Survey in early March, 1965, here are the Nashville Teens with Find My Way Back Home on the London Label.
